We are Cat-Like Tread, an Edinburgh based Fringe theatre company with a love of all things Gilbert and Sullivan.
The company was formed by a group of friends, Sarah, Farlane and Vinca, who all love to perform. We assembled a production team, recruited an awesome cast and crew and took to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe stage in 2014 with our debut production of The Pirates of Penzance at Spotlites @ The Merchants' Hall. The show was a great success, with lots of fun for audience and performers alike. In 2015, we followed up with our second venture, H.M.S. Pinafore at Paradise in Augustine's. It was another exciting production, including five nights where we sold out! In 2016 we welcomed Rae to the team and we enjoyed the novelty of working on our first thrust stage at SpaceTriplex with The Mikado. Our 2017 production of The Sorcerer took us back to Augustine's, this time joined by Tom, who arranged our very first a cappella overture. This was so much fun and was very well received so we repeated the challenge this year at Sweet Venues during Patience, our fifth production at the Fringe.
Do you want to get involved? Putting on a show is an exciting and rewarding experience. Whether you're keen to tread the boards, or would rather help from behind the scenery, we're keen to hear from you!
